Well, we have to adapt our server to them:
1. they use gateway list version 2000
We use 1001. That means we have to update our version to 2000, otherwise they will overwrite our list every time your join there.
2. they allow to join war2 version 2.0.2.1 only. That's unpleasant for combat, that is based on 2.0.2.0.
That means we have to change combat to 2.0.2.1 or it will not be able to join their server.

yes, i'm trying to connect to GOG server from their server for diablo. I still have no their war2, so i just think it will use the same server...

No idea, but we are going to release our own high-res implementation, that will be definitely better than theirs.
Also they will be cross-compatible: to use theirs for us and ours for them.

You need key to log on server, there is no chance to log without it, if some1 got old key+cd there is not a problem to login

I got it, you're connecting to their server using our War2Ru client.

I checked all torrent trackers I usually use and so far couldn't find the GOG version of WC2, but it will be there for sure.

LOL, I also checked our previous GOG topic here and its all (4/5 pages) about that BabyShark-2Pac-toxic-trashtalk situation, just a few posts about GOG itself.

im using the bnet cd, still buying it though just for the fuck that blizzard released it.

but we may just need to spectate as this is like a 1999 capsule people playing online the first time ..sure they may have played the single player.
