According to Einstein, the profit motive of a capitalist society, in conjunction with competition among capitalists, leads to unnecessary cycles of booms and depressions, and ultimately encourages selfishness instead of cooperation.[3] In addition, the educational system of such a society would be severely undermined because people will educate themselves only to advance their careers. This results in the "crippling of individuals" and the erosion of human creativity.[3] Unrestrained competition in a capitalist society leads to a huge waste of labor and causes economic anarchy, which Einstein denounces as the real source of capitalism's "evil":

einstein owned capitalism pretty hard. we're a society of retards that continues propping up this cancerous system.

socialism isn't about same wage for everyone. it's about fair wage for everyone without the exploitation by capitalists, and the entire elimination of poverty. also ceo's don't do more than their labourers. the fact is labourers do more. also a lot of these "leader types" you talk about were born in wealth and have advantages others don't. there's no equal opportunity in capitalism.

I agree with everything except the part about CEO's not doing as much work as their labourers. Although a CEO's job description varies greatly between company to company, I am under the impression most of them have far more complex work loads, stress and overtime than the typical employee? What has made you believe otherwise? I'm interested

I've never read anything from Einstein as it pertains to his views on capitalism. Good stuff

Lol that's what my link was, it's an article by Einstein.  I posted it because Jon quoted Einstein and that's more reading if he hasn't read it yet!

even if you assume that false bourgeois narrative is actually correct (that the ceo works harder) , do they work THAT much harder in which their bloated wages are justified? carlos slim is such an insanely overworked person , so much more than his employees, that he's really worth that 60+ billion dollars? not a chance.
fact is, a ceo can work as hard as he wants or as  lazy as he wants - without the workers toiling there's no money to be had in the first place.

Pope Francis landed in Cuba on Saturday, quickly calling on the communist nation to "open itself to the world," while praising its recent restoration of diplomatic ties with the United States.

advocating the spreading of capitalism into cuba, gulag the pope.

I definitely think they work harder. But as for your question, no, it doesn't justify their 'bloated wages' at all.

Kind of bs he's trying charge patent protected prices for a drug that has been out since 1960s...

You'd think we as a society would kill people like that guy to prevent them from doing more harm.

"It's a great business decision that also benefits all of our stakeholders," Shkreli then retorted. "I don't expect the likes of you to process that."

His next remark: "You are such a moron."
