Tourney time, ddos time :/ Server admin should be active during tournament to ban IP, attacking T_T

Banning IP's does nothing.
It's 2024 anyone can mask their IP hence that doesn't help.

i stopped a DDOS attack during a tournament ... i just sat there for like an hour and kept banning every bot that joined.

you even helped for a few mins tora.

it's possible for a low level DDOS attack ... which is what Tupac does.

Nah, it should be possible to ban IP:s. It's not easy to switch ip fast, and you got to have access to all these ip:s. That's how you stop DDOS attacks, it's totally possible.

Would also be nice to have a 1v1 tournament a couple of times a year. Maybe with less price money, and like someone suggested one price for a random participant to get more players.

Yes, ST and I won 4-3.

It was a grueling finals…because of the server issues, not the games.

If we can find a way to prevent that from happening that would be great.

all i know is like 2-3 years ago i stopped an attack while i was hosting a tournament and you helped for like 3-4 mins.

and the reason i stopped it was because i knew it was likely to happen...

any time an event is supposed to happen on the server, Tupac im assuming or some other fuck who never got any attention from their parents comes along and tries to fuck it up.

its predictable.

so i had my stealtbot and the regular war2 app open ready for it ... and then it happened .. and then i stopped it ... and the tournament continued with no problems. .. and whoever launched the attack (tupac or someone like him) wasted their fkin time.

We do need someone on call or present at the future tournaments because of this.

the match for 3rd place will take place today. eleison had to leave on the day of the tournament, so we didn't finish it. But it was difficult anyway because of the server.
Hopefully everyone will be online today, we'll see.
