Deleted Names Issue

There's an issue where you create a new account, play on it a few days, then the account is suddenly deleted.  You can't log into the account and it shows as Invalid User when you try to get the stats for the account.  You also can't recreate the account either.  Any idea what the deal is?  It's happened to me a few times now.  The latest example is the name 00Sleeve.

Most likely that happened when the server disk have been full, record failed on creation, so account have been partially created.

Now im going to make more space on disk, after that we'll fix these partially created accounts...

@iL, fyi, this is still happening.  Is this something new causing it or was the fix still in the works?

Since there is a new post on this, and Il is going to have to be the one to look into it probably, I'll add this.

There is also an issue for a few months where if you do /whois or /finger the date it shows for people who have been online since the issue started is wrong. It will usually show that they logged on sometime in August, though I've seen other random dates.

A buddy from years ago logged on for 1 day for the first time in years a week or two ago, his old AKA's were Cs-Captain and Cs-Kirby. He made a new account Cs-x-Kirby, and when you finger that account it shows his last log in was 1970... LMFAO

The issue is that this is an old game so it has to be stored on 250mb zip drives regulated by an ubuntu server. Someone has to manually change out the zip drives every 2 days to ensure there is space. Update for iL, this issue still happening.  A friend of mine was using the name wow_wtf and can no longer log into it.  The name no longer exists and has no stats, but it can't be re-created as a new account either.

Not sure about these troubles.
Yes, there's a cache, theres also a database.
Is something happens with DB, names being updated in cache.
Some names could be easily stored in cache only or in DB in inconsistent state.
At least everything should work fine now with DB.
