The original Warcraft II BNE CD has a prog W2SOUNDS.EXE
Correction : the repertory of the
installed game has W2SOUNDS.EXE !
I mounted many ISO and
failed to find that exe in the CD's, so I
downloaded the file you gave in attachement but once copied in the
War2Combat/ repertory, it didn't worked (error message was
"unable to find Warcraft II Battlenet installation").Then I tried to
install a possible french BattleNet version to see if I could find something, and I found the W2SOUNDS.EXE
at the root once installed. When double-clicked, it extracted the
GameSFX/ directory. Then I just copied it in my War2Combat repertory.
So for having voices in our language, the correct procedure is that one
(if an admin see this message, please add it to the Missing music & other sound effects page) :
- (Install War2Combat)
- Install a BattleNet version in your langage (you'll need any valid serial)
- Run W2SOUNDS.EXE found at the root of the fresh installation
- Take the GameSFX folder extracted, and copy it to your War2Combat directory
Thanks a lot guys for the clue !
