On the same day, Nintendo announced a new "dedicated games platform with a brand new concept" with the codename "NX" that would be further revealed in 2016.[52]:3[53] On October 16, 2015, The Wall Street Journal relayed speculation from unnamed inside sources that, although the NX hardware specifications were unknown, it may be intended to feature "industry leading" hardware specifications and complementary portable and stationary components. The newspaper also reported that Nintendo has begun distributing software development kits (SDKs) for NX to third-party developers, with the unnamed source further speculating that this is "suggesting the company is on track to introduce [NX] as early as [2016]." The first concurrently announced games for this platform are Square Enix's Dragon Quest X and Dragon Quest XI.
Sony has nothing in the pipe, and XBox is a dying relic. When this system comes out... holy shit, when this system comes out.
Well, let's just see:
First, it will synergize the handheld and console experience. For those worried about phones killing the portable gaming device, this two-birds-one-stone release will keep the vultures at bay. Second, it will have "industry leading" hardware... So the big boys won't have that to hold over Nintendo's head anymore. Nintendo has always had the best quality games and therefore the consoles most worth owning, but those distracted by gaudy hardware, the so-called "hardcore" gamers (who are actually retarded manchildren) will now be pulled back into Nintendo's orbit. Yes, this will be the equivalent of a headshot to Sony and Microsoft. Mario and Luigi forever! And you won't be allowed to have a Nintendo NX, because you have doubted Nintendo, and have strayed.
