I think that is from just being human IMO and won't ever go away. To remove this doubt, it's better to play on a platform that is equal in all merits to judge player skill.

almost any fps type game, a keyboard and mouse is like a huge advantage to a controller.i would be looking to rig one of these up if i was a console player.
and it would be on a desk like a computer ..sofas and chairs another disadvantage.
