Cool idea! I definitely recommend checking your network setup & making sure multiple people can join the same game if you're planning to play on the server. It's a very common problem w/ no known fix for people on the same local network to have latency or lag out of each other's games, unrelated to port forwarding. http://en.war2.ru/support/multiple-people-on-same-network-have-high-latency-lag/

I was actually looking for a reason to travel to St, Louis to visit the Chess Hall of Fame (I miss it from when it used to be 5 mins from my house) and maybe go to a chess tournament.  In terms of War2, this is more than an exciting idea. I always wanted to host one here in Florida, but that won't be possible now that I'm selling my house. Let's do this guys. I'll try to convinced others. Thanks.

If for whatever reason it doesn't work out with TK in St Louis, I don't mind hosting one here in NYC. You country bumpkins can all see the bright lights of my city
