ArtMoney (as do most other trainers) has a "Lock value" feature for example that will do just that.

Just checked Lock value in artmoney, looks like it prevents changing value, not readin it. Antihack doesn't return an error while reading...
At the same time they obviously use some software that prevents reading. Just wondering what is it.
