The soups are actually some of the better things they have, but the sandwiches tend to be total rip offs. More importantly, the closest one is an inconvenient location to me.

Cosi's sandwiches are even worse, I got a sandwich, chips and a drink at Cosi about a month ago and it was like ten bucks and change wtf. And the sandwich had barely any chicken on it.

Yeah, Cosi is retarded.  There's one a block away from my office but I'm more likely to walk the 3/4 mile to the Panera.

You were also a bit retarded, though, for ordering a drink from one of those places.  Unless you're at a McD's with a dollar menu drink, you're gonna get charged like $2 for a regular size drink.

I do the pick two from Panera, sometimes picking a salad for one part but sometimes the soup.  For the other part I take a sandwich.  The sandwiches are good.  This will run about $7.50 these days though.  I feel like it used to be cheaper.

I know this but I really wanted a Diet Coke. Also not even McDonald's has decent dollar menu drinks anymore unless its coffee or iced tea, every fast food place's smallest drink is like $1.59 at least.

The sandwiches are not that great IMO and are too small and skimpy for what you pay, IMO. Some of the soups like the clam chowder, black bean and tomato are pretty good though. The French onion is awful, like about 85% of french onion soup you order in any restaurant.

Just to expand on this they're even more fucked up about coffee. There's a Cosi I like to sit and wait for appointments at because it has a nice atmosphere and is near where I'm going and a small coffee is fucking $1.99.

I went last weekend and got the tomato soup and mediterranean veggie sandwich.  Sometimes I get a greek salad instead of the soup but lately I've been going for the soup.  I left full and happy.

Panera used to have a pizza called a Crispani, and it took them like 15 minutes to cook it so it was a really long wait, lol.  But it was honestly up there with the best pizza I've had.  RIP the Crispani.
