Not sure where this thread belongs.

Installed Windows 10 last night. Tonight I will try with war2 all versions and software normally used. I will update this thread with fixes, and known errors.

Did you upgrade from 7 or 8?  Drivers from old ver compatible in 10?

8.1 windows upgraded to 10.

I think my sound drivers need to be rechecked. And maybe graphics too. I did have to disable my touch screen. I experienced a crash with the voice, and cpu talking to me on an i5....

Do not use any compatibility options they will cause war2 to crash. Colors are perfect for me. Battle.net is still messed up no icons, text overlaying... It feels just like win 8 errors. Like I said when I did the beta.

We'll I heard there is a fix not out yet but it breaks ss. I want involved in this project.

im staying with vm's, oracle works great and a prog called bs player has a option to make it go to 640 and then run full screen walla.

next move for me is back to linux.

I just upgraded from Window 7 and cannot see the text in all boxes from login to game setup and can only see the messages when someone sends a message.  I set up a game (by default) and it seemed to be ok.  Just having problems at the menu sections and am running the latest version of WCII.

Besides that...windows 10 worth upgrading to? Just little concerned some of my in-house dev tools won't work it [emoji52]...Seems like we just got everything stable on 7 lol.

How would we go about updating the actual client to solve this issue(s)? Windows 10 is going to be the prominent OS in the future for all new PCs...we should start exploring ideas in updating the client for 10 now to avoid future problems [emoji31]

Not sure, I wonder if the problem happens with War2BNE? I know there are some display differences between BNE and Combat, e.g. lobby screenshots actually work with BNE. Maybe this is a Combat-specific problem.

The big question, as always, is how Windows10 reacts with Starcraft.  Bw still uses the same pvpgn type lobby as War2 does, right?  So we can look to how the (much bigger) bw community is reacting and responding to this for guidance.

Anyway, sounds like it is improved some if you run in windowed mode and this mcalauncher.  I know some people have got that going for War2 (windowed mode i mean) and we should probably focus on making it a bit more mainstream.

More xboi.  We are lucky he has an interest in War2.  i sent him a PM on teamliquid to inquire about if that launcher can be used for War2.
