How many people don't multi cast?
« on: July 21, 2015, 05:45:28 PM »
I have a way to eliminate the ctrl 1 for multicasting.... How many would accept this tool? Maybe I could add a cool down  or something to it??

It would be cheating but there's no serious multi-casting in real games anyway.

If it was used right then it would level the game play for human and orc.

I use multi-cast often, but I dont really see a point in a tool that makes the keybindings easier, they are already easy as it is.  That said, I dont use multi-cast in a competitive game.  If I have that many dk's for it to be useful, then the game has already been decided.  I won.  IMO,  I would see such a tool as a "hack" similar to that of macros.
Dk At hall is cause I started with temple at start and didn't need the castle . Not a hack .  I wouldn't bother editing a ss btw

^---- Dellam doesnt hack!  See, even by his own admission, no hack!!  LMFAO.

Only useful on custom maps like free castles which i never play so no I never use it. I also bind the keys to raxs/halls which is much more useful.

Agreed. When I'm multi casting it's to delete forts.

I think multicasting is obviously a bug, but it's a part or gameplay now. Same as tower bug or something like that.
I don't think we should change anything here.

That's interesting technical task how to have control over it though.

why though? choppers treat multicast as a feature and it has large strategic value

Actually multi-cast is an INTENDED feature of war2.  It's the selecting of buildings using that feature that is actually a bug.  That feature was never intended.  I believe it's BGH type players that make use of the bug by pumping grunts/whatever out of 9+ raxes with 1 bind rather than have to click each rax individually.  It is buggy and can cause problems.

no, i dont think thats possible.

maybe the ALT key was intended to make the regular multicast work, but we're also talking about the '1 mage bug' which is indeed a bug (
- having 1 mage selected but controlling all 9). Also its possible to have 1 rax selected and the view of the other using the same bug technique, which is useful for pball players on the maps like free castles or unit-only pball with 2 or more raxes. And theres the memory edit hack which works the same as the technique previously mentioned with only 1 barracks, but im sure tupac covered it in his anti-hack.
But i never heard of a bug that allows to bind more than 1 building

How the hell is that a bug?? Even in the official website of warcraft II they explain us how to do multi cast.. It's not a bug it's totally a part of this game.

Even the tower bug is not a bug, thats only realistic, there no way a tower gonna know wich side you want to shoot.

Tower totally need a specific point where they can shot, if your too idiot to know how tower work, maybe you should just stop acting like you know this game and stop givin your retard opinions.

* Something like that * Nice one admin!

Calls other people retards, then proceeds to say "tower bug is not a bug".

It's "I never hacked." "I hacked in 2002" in the same sentence all over again.

I actually am not sure if tower bug is an actual "bug" or not.  Could they really have unintentionally programmed the behavior of a tower to change once there's another tower in range?  It seems like a bug because it's weird (one tower shooting further than the other) but it also follows the regular War2 behavior of units finishing or popping out at the top left.
