[done] No soundtrack?
« on: June 29, 2015, 09:20:56 PM »
I apologize if this has already been posted or anything, I just found this site today and wanted to get involved! Anyways, I downloaded the launcher for Warcraft 2 from the site, and everything runs great, but there's no music... The units all have voices and everything, the soundtrack just isn't there. Is this a known problem/anyone know how to fix it?

I think they removed because of blizzard or to save space. You could just get a copy of the orginal war2.mpq or just install the bnet version. Let me know if you need help.

yea i figured out that part, but think war2combat is a little better patched  ;D ;D for windows 7 so ill just stick with it  ::)
Sure,
You can also copy install.exe and maybe war2dat.mpq from the main version to combat. Then you will have music and all the sounds/graphics in the combat.
You can also copy dlls/patchers/nocd from combat to the full version to use it there.

This might help, me and iL were discussing this a few months back.

Yeah how do you do that? I'll give that a whirl and see if it works

Either find someone with the mpq file and replace in your war2 combat folder. Or just find a torrent warcraft 2 bne.iso install warcraft boom done.
Edit I will upload it for you to save you the trouble. I think alot of other people want it too.

tupac

by merely replacing the original mpq file, that alone won't make by art of magic the music appear.

dude needs original cd. period. no other way.

WhiteWolfRivia:

War2Combat was cracked so it doesnt require a CD to run.
Warcraft 2 Music is read from the original CD in the form of old windows audio tracks. (not even mp3)

So, you need to find and download Warcraft 2 Battle.net edition original cd
(easy find on torrentz.com, need a torrent client to download like utorrent.com)

Then install the game, locate the war2dat.mpq file and copy it onto the war2combat folder and replace.
and  have your Warcraft 2 Battle.net edition ISO, mounted as a CD drive then run war2combat.
There many ISO MOUNT tools on the web. best is "wincdemu"

Thats one way, the other way is to nevermind war2combat, just install the the battle.net edition
and then run update 2.02, then find the 2.02 crack
goggle the update, the crack can be found at www.gamecopyworld.com

Wow never heard no stupid bullshit from above fuck all of that.

You could also run the cd reg file and paste the nocdloader in War2 bnet and it executes bnet fine with out cd... if I told him to download the iso he obviously has the cd now it's his choice to run it with virtual hardware or make the cd. If he has 8+ of windows right click mount the file....

Yes this would pretty much turn ru into a portable war2 bnet. Thanks and try again.
