Looking for a team!
« on: June 17, 2015, 09:09:01 PM »
I am currently looking for a team. I'm looking for a couple programmers, graphics artist, maybe a sound guy too. The language is open. I love to learn more.

Project Idea

Create a basic known hacking list and do something. I have a working version in visual Basic already. It detects couple hacks and drops you from the game instantly. We would want to add server integration that's encrypted when sent for auto ban or what ever we want... well who's down?

Are you hosting a repository of the code somewhere(preferably Github)? I'd like to view it at least, and probably make some suggestions or some commits

Any particular reason you chose to write it in Visual Basic though?

Also the main reason for antihack is to stop cheating, not to catch people

I think we, as a whole community and as w2 players, deserve to know the names of caught hackers. The ban could be symbolic, but the asshole hall of fame should be posted somewhere. Trick 'em, its for the good cause!

iL is already writing his antihack and I'm working with him to get it implemented.

Can you do graphics? I don't have fun with. And I'll start the engine tonight for gml and go open source. I want it to be exactly like war2 but we have the code so it's all possible. If I'm doing this why not make a 3d version?? But top down view just like war2?? I want the scaling to fit perfect like a farm could be 1 box or 4 boxes. I want the grid to be perfect. So I need a graphics artist or at least someone to rip them all at the same quality. Alot of work for 1 man could take years to get it going....

ive just redownloaded a old gamemaker 7 cant find 8.1  just playing around  with the war1 crap i made back long ago...if u go 3d why not use warcraft3?

the graphics in 2d can be ripped but hopefully found on the web.
https://sp.yimg.com/ib/th?id=JN.6LWPGXUX%2bo3pGcV4Oza5Bg&pid=15.1 (crappy qaulity :/)

2d would be the easiest route....that way u got your graphics anyhow and would be true to war2.

if i could finish the pallete in retrogrp id have u the sprites fast, im only like 20% of anything looking like it does in war2.

your in luck wargus got the graphics covered..what pixel size u need them in.
http://postimg.org/image/hpj8r8qfl/ they arent blurry in my .bmp
i can make them all the standard 72x72 as long as as the object dont look like there fighting from 3 feet from each other, tranparency takes care of that doesnt it ..been so long.

try that peon standing and walking flip for the left side  (u may have to adjust in gamemaker but hack and slash gets things going)
