I don't agree with Chomsky's conclusion that one should vote for the Democrat as the lesser evil, but his argument makes logical sense even for an anarchist.

If you accept the premise that the Democratic candidate will harm the working class less than the Republican candidate, which Chomsky obviously does, yes, it does. Being an anarchist doesn't mean you can't be pragmatic.
Finally, the other problem with this logic is it is mired in liberal identity politics - the idea that a black man being President is good in and of itself, regardless of policy. This is not the position of a serious Marxist.

he did write about the historical precedent of a black family being in the white house. i'd imagine this influenced his support partly.
Well I am going by his stated reasons for voting for Obama, which were the exact same as his stated reasons for voting for Clinton.
