I think it actually makes more sense to be excited about a Democrat, because at least if you're a dumbfuck liberal maybe that's what you're into.  But if you're a leftist/socialist/anti-capitalist then I don't know how you can get excited about any candidate in any case.  The only ones that should excite you are unelectable and have lost before the race even begins.

Also you're not following the argument, which is that Israel is a genocidal state and is genocidal by its very nature, genocide is built into its DNA, and the genocide it was founded on continues to this day with the Palestinians. The example of the US only strengthens this argument - the US was founded on the genocide of Native Americans, and the genocide of Native Americans continued unabated until they were completely wiped out and brought to heel. You could even make an argument that this genocide continues in the neglect and oppression of Native communities, the US even takes Native children from their parents and places them in white foster care under (at best) questionable circumstances, which is a hallmark of genocidal policy. This is the future of the Palestinians if Israel is allowed to continue to exist as a Jewish supremacist settler state.
