The team war2.online welcomes you! And we inform you that the new additional campaign for Warcraft 2 is ready for your use. And you, Mountain Thane, are destined to go through it!
Please read the materials below.

Campaign "THE MIST TURNS RED. Prequel. Act 1. The Seal Path" includes a number of new products and benefits:

   Playable race
      - Dwarves
   
   Graphics
      - Three new and cool tilesets
      - Added new sprites and icons
      - Added new "dwarvish" cursor
      - Сustom intro video

   Gameplay and new game mechanics
      - Added Two game difficulties
      - Added new abilities and upgrades
      - Player can resurrect the hero in Town Hall (loss of experience after death).
      - Miners got ability to repair Cannon and Helicopter
      - Added unit and upgrades order queue
      - Added ability to give units multiple commands using shift
      - Added andatory construction of buildings by Miners
      - Added new unit status
      - Units can gain experience and ranks
      - Added animated rally point setup for units
      - Building got animation during upgrades or recruitment of units
      - Added echanics of random names of enemy leaders
      - Added mechanics of giving a name to the player's character
      - Miners can repair combat ships
      - Added new important Building of the campaign - "Trading post"

All these new features are the coolest part can't We get a wc2 with unit queue and rally points?

Just a side version for people like me who want to play warcraft 2 with quality of life improvements , you  can make it a separate client that is optional I personally don't want the votes of a bunch of 40 year old boomers to decide how I enjoy the game , freaking sick and tired of purist ruining everything.

The only viable option I see currently is the tree chopping count.  However,  there are pros and cons to adding such a feature.  It removes the penalty for not paying attention to your choppers which is one if it's con's.  The pro it has is that it removes the need to monitor choppers lol.  So it's both good and bad for the exact same reasons.
Dk At hall is cause I started with temple at start and didn't need the castle . Not a hack .  I wouldn't bother editing a ss btw

Either add it all or nothing , as I said separate version call it "golden combat edition" or something warcraft 2 with rally points , unit queue is peak warcraft LOL , hey we still need to fix that trash pathfinding any hopes for that? Oh and how long does this "mist turn red" campaign took to make? Year ? Never knew warcraft 2 was a subject to custom campaigns since it barely has any narrative tools , can u even add voice lines or dialogue during missions? Be a good improvement.

You can check out our campaign: "Alaunter, Stonia - Gedsun Expedition". There is everything you are talking about there in sufficient quantity.

Most new technologies are researched and tested during the development of custom campaigns.
This particular campaign took almost 3 months to create.

"Garbage pathfinding" is currently not fixed. However, during the development of campaigns, we have corrected and adjusted a lot, and we consider this a very big breakthrough. And we will continue to work on it.

Nice work , looks like there is plenty of content to play in warcraft 2 gonna be a fun ride for sure

Keep up the work!! The better the pathfinding the more enjoyable the game nothing more annoying than the troops stuck because they can't tell whether the thing in front of them is an obstacle or a road , making pathfinding better is the way to go and I don't think anybody would complain man if we could only get the source code...

yes of course is possible now.

Ed told me on private that is even possible to add "pause" for your playthrough while you can hear a cutscene with dialogue(s), such as Starcraft 1 is.

I can fix this stuff about unit pathing to an extent with rally points and other AI instructions, but haven't pulled that off just yet in mods.

You can check for example, one of my mods called Trolls revolution in missions 2 and 3 where computers attack different locations from player:

There's another feature within these mods and the ones from Ed, including this one that also fixes some of the original AI behavior like getting stucked around townhalls or in shorelines trying to reach transports.

There's still space to work with, though.

anyway, as you could see some bugs game got it, some random crash
you should allways make grid hotkeys for new campaign, half had qweasdzxc and half default hotkeys

I only didnt like in bonus campaign titlest, I couldnt see anything on minimap

Accepted. What can you say about the campaign as a whole, any advantages or disadvantages, besides the bonus tileset? We are interested in your opinion.

What can we fix? What I can say for sure is that we will probably remove all spells except for the undead raise spell from the bonus mission. Because that is how the map was designed. The "time" factor will play against the player.

We will also correct the consistency of the text and voice acting, fix or remove all the annoying "I'm flying" sounds. We will correctly re-translate some names. We will add a couple of "Easter eggs".

Of course, we will fix crashes. We even know why they occur.

I would give proper feedback once I get to try the content myself  , but yeah nice work trying to solve the issues with pathfinding.

I dont understand in last mission archers, I couldnt make them, but after few mins I could? what happen? I didnt get any info, there was like 10 dragons in my base and I was like WTF, how I can kill them without mages/archers then I checked barrack and I could make them

since there are crash, maybe autosave? but I heard that you cant unlock bonus mission if you reload last mission

The original upgrade "into rangers", was replaced by "organization of volunteers", the price also increased - now 3500 gold.
As soon as you made this upgrade - archers became available to you. Like, the dwarves were able to establish more organized logistics for reinforcements of human :)

Actually, this version is a "placeholder". In the new version, my brother will be voicing :) You could listen to him during the briefing for the secret mission, hehe.

There you can't load during the mission, that is, the game must be continuous. And you can start the mission again (and complete it without loading) and then the 6th mission will be unlocked.

But perhaps in the update we will simply make the secret mission available if the player killed three death knights in the fourth mission. It's easier.
