Shout out to StarTale and 00Joe for putting out some great content, albeit incomplete and 5 years old. I learned a ton from those videos. I wish there were more.

I recall multiple players bringing this up multiple times in the past. I was around when they were making those videos. I bet they are great! Care to share them?

I just started playing again after a 5+ year break.
I come and go (take long breaks - but I've played since the Kali days).

I started watching u8t3io3p's youtube channel - not yet knowing he was a top player now.

His style of play -- and overall, his positive attitude has inspired me to play again. Good stuff.

I also think HD is a massive advantage. Most my jokes about it, including "hacker/cheater" are in lighthearted spirit. I say these things about anyone who uses HD  (not just to you), but its mostly just cuz I cant seem to DL it for myself - my PC blocks that version of WC2.

Can anyone create a video tutorial (for tech newbies like swift and others) on how to download and install the HD patch, including how to overcome possible glitches during installation?

We are living in the 21st century where 4k is becoming the norm, so why do players still resign to using SD when HD makes the game so much better!?

Using excuses like "I don't know how to install HD patch" is just a pathetic excuse for anyone living in this time and age imo...

HD does not destroy the essence of the game.  It enhances the gameplay and gives you a better gaming experience.  But I understand some people want to be stuck in the past and refuse to embrace change.

I am. But others still make up excuses for not using the HD patch.  Some even liken it to hacks.  Beats me.

He has maintained this server and done the majority of the troubleshooting which can take hours if something breaks.

Many ideas/"fixes" in the last few years aim to paint over what was a near masterpiece shows how little you appreciate or understood the game to begin with.

You're just fucking the beauty of the game up and you don't even realize it.

Keep it up though. Kill the game. Keep changing shit.. you will be left with a game that barely resembles the original and nobody to play with.
