War2 Insight!

I got a question for programmars right here...

Im pretty sure most of you know war2 insight and i have a question about it.

When you records ur games, you always have to manually save them, is that possible for any programmar to modifiy this software and make an automatic saving for everygames... So you dont have to alt tab after every games to auto save them and they just save alone all the time.

Yup that is one of the changes I would have wanted to do to it but I unfortunately do not know the person who did that software, nor do we have the sources.

Sniffing a program and parsing all the data it sends and receives like he must have done is a lot of work.
Afterward ofc it is a matter of making a program that sniffs and relays packets to the game making it believe it is the real deal. while in fact just sending recorded data.
With war2 if we had that work shared it would allow us to make a lot of new programs/features, but unfortunately I do not have the time / money to spend on re-doing all the sniffing.
So for now we work around that problem but that also means we cannot really improve these programs further as long as the guy who did it does not show up to do these changes himself or share the sources .

         automatic war2insight replays saving, unlock IronMan settings, etc

if you hate all new, at least you can get necessary files from 4.6

ps: yes, old programs are used, but they solve the problem

i think there some add on for war2insight that allow players to auto record there games

Hi kid,
looks like this is "hard as mpq" for you.

just run War2Launcher2.bat file to AUTORECORD the insight files to folder that you want
if you don't have this file, reinstall 4.6 with war2insight checkbox

And i got War2Launcher

but no War2Launcher2.bat

Gonna try to redownload.

This is what happen with my computer when i do what you told me.

Looks like war2insight lost focus at the wrong time.
When this happens you first need to close War2InSightAutorecord.exe or kill it using Task Manager, then deal with all other appeared windows


if you really interested try again, but keep in mind, that for the purity of the experiment:

(without pressing anything for a while)


if still same result, maybe (but unlikely) some another app stealing focus at the wrong time

As long as I remember, Droid had the same problem. Don't know how he solved it.

minimal sequence to use autosaving:
1. War2BNEInSight104.exe + Warcraft II BNE itself  in any order
2. then War2InSightAutorecord.exe (AFTER both of previous is started)
