There is a rule against abusive behavior on the server.  The rule was put to the community and approved by a vote.  Therefore the temp ban on Van was justified.  Warbux, I don't see how you could have missed all the discussion and voting on the subject!

Mouse and iL (in my experience) have always supported admin moderation more than me, blid, and tora... i can't speak for them but I suspect they would have readily supported it

in my opinion... if 5 admins supported it and 20 members of the community did not support it.... the answer would be NO.

We had 18 USERS who supported it. 9 USERS who did not.

I feel like my voice matters .. But I dont feel like it matters more than other members of the community just because I'm an admin.

As a community we discussed this. We voted on it. We came to a clear consensus... that consensus was implemented after it had all been discussed for everyone to see.

there was no "behind the scenes" stuff going on. it was transparent. there should not have been any doubt about the direction we were going with it.
