When do you shut down your computer?

I shut it down only during travels, when do you shut the computer off? During Windows 9x era, I shut it off when I sleep, that I remember.

mine takes forever a good 10 minutes..killing programs / waiting on firefox etc

I keep it on most of the time. For some reason I think it's good to give your computer a full shutdown, after 3-7 days, at least for a few hours.
