Password Strength

Please make your passwords somewhat complicated people. This past month we've had Teaboy, ChooP, and as of today Maphi01 get their names stolen due to weak passwords.

Might help if the password field was case sensitive.

Kinda the servers fault, too.

Of course they should.

Just saying the person who got hacked should have a server that better protects them.

Martin18 stole both "ChoOp" and "maphi01's" names. Casi0 stole "teaboy"s name.

Martin18 is already permabanned from the server but is able to play on his many vpn's.

Casi0 was banned for 1 week and warned. I don't believe he will do it again.

It's not their better protected it's that we don't have the tools to permaban someone like martin18

Why do you think every web service nowadays use complex passwords and hashing? They don’t do it just because... I guess if they didn’t care about their users getting hacked causing frustration and headaches as well as a ton of work,  they would allow “a” as a password.

Sure, the user should probably use more common sense if they care about their profile and don’t want to deal with dumb shit, but the server level security improvement would curb so many issues.

“a” is convenient, but not secure. Have to sacrifice one of them. Security comes at the cost of convenience.

By the way, it seems we are looking for the same result where everyone has stronger passwords. Just saying server can help drive it along...

The server here is outdated and dont support much. Heck if this database ever gets stolen again all password under 8 chars can be cracked in seconds. This server doesn't even support a hash that is not cracked.

Not sure what that bank account passwords have to do with OP’s request to make your password more complex to better secure War2 accounts.
