Why do you think every web service nowadays use complex passwords and hashing? They don’t do it just because... I guess if they didn’t care about their users getting hacked causing frustration and headaches as well as a ton of work, they would allow “a” as a password.
Sure, the user should probably use more common sense if they care about their profile and don’t want to deal with dumb shit, but the server level security improvement would curb so many issues.
“a” is convenient, but not secure. Have to sacrifice one of them. Security comes at the cost of convenience.
