Spb uses Hardware modification that he admits to. And he's been playing Non-Stop day after day for hours on end every single day. Even with his Hardware modifications I feel pretty confident I can get a winning record on him if I were able to get 8 hours a day for a week or two.

There's really only a very small handful of active players that would be spb in a 7 game series right now. Probably less than seven or eight active players

Agreed. Hell I think its about to almost 7-8 that could beat me as well.

Dugss losing their series right now 8-6 and they havent played in a year. Spb has jumped a tier in the last year. Wouldnt go well for dugs

Dugs not a bad player by any means.. But his style is definitely better in 2s.

In 1s vs him, just prepare for repeated tower attempts and hidden expansions.. His style is a lot of misdirection. Fight off the towers then look for whatever he was doing while he was distracting you with the towers.

I've historically gone like 90% vs Spb.  Admittedly that might not be the case now but Spb has always beaten you, even back when I was winning vs him near every time

Anyway he was only raised because you said you salivate when you see his flower tower, and anyone who makes a CT to protect their base is losing peons and losing the game, and yet the most prominent user of the flower tower has beaten you 10 times in a row.

To be fair to TK, and you know I mean it because it's pretty obvious I don't go out of my way to be fair to him, that doesn't necessarily mean that tk is wrong about the flower tower being an unwise use of resources in many situations. In fact, I actually kind of agree with tk that spb would probably be better if he didn't lean so heavily on that during the early part of his game, at least in 1v1 play.

When I see spb do it i kind of roll my eyes but i know exactly why he does it and i know that it can work (for him).  Why not just choke up the entrance and save the money?  Well i dont know exactly but i do know how spb likes to play, he likes to ensure his survival into the later game and then focus on running expansions. The ct serves him early game if grunts start busting down the door but also im confident he makes it early as part of his long-term plan, in order to have a well-insulated ct that can protect his main late game when he's low-ogre  or protecting other expansions etc.  If you dont dk it down, even if youre in there with ogres hitting his barracks youll take damage from the ct and he can pop new ogies out.  He knows what hes doing

Well of course not, although back when I used to play 1on1 at least a little I stopped playing him on GOW because it was too easy to beat and no fun, and started playing him on water maps. Either get an early DK as you already suggested or just use the resources he's wasting on the tower and get yourself an early expansion.

Maybe he's better now, but I don't see how it still wouldn't be easy to beat him to lust and get dks if he insists on using early resources to make a cannon tower. It just slows you down way too much in 1v1 play.
