My decision about my moderation job
« on: February 06, 2015, 05:09:09 AM »
I don't look after the Server Rules, since i paused my moderation job.
My task is just to keep the forum usability: to keep useful information structured and flood-free, according to Freedom of Speech.

All my moderation activity applies to: Server.War2.ru, Mods & Development, Support Requests sections.
I take care of only several threads i feel useful.
What i think required to be done to keep and structure useful content and i plan to do:
- to rename topics if their content is useful and their names are senseless.
- to close duplicate threads.
- to split topics with several different important things to discuss each thing in the separate topic.
- to move topics between sections or to move them out to general discussion.
- to hide all the offtopic/flood/flame into [ spoiler] tag.
- to delete spam (generated by spambots).

What i plan to reach:
- That's probably enough to keep an order in useful forum content
- That will not contradict any Freedom of Speech. I delete nothing, everyone can just click on the spoiler to read the message.
- That will not contradict any kind of other admin/moderator job. I don't plan to care of rasism or w/e or pusnish anybody.
- I also appreciate any help with such information reorder.

makes sense to [  spoiler] the flame and/or controversial content, but i really see no point in keeping pure spam/flood whatsoever. useless pictures and memes should go.

i believe 85% posts of that kind are generated by idiots caring about their post count (see: ryu and friends) and they should be deleted.

also: can i call TK a *** when he's not doing his job?

Spam/flood/flame is relative concept.
As example, discussion about my new combat, Equinox attacks me and my project, i delete his flame against me and he begin to cry about power abusing.
I'd prefer other admins to handle that if they want or just keep it into the spoiler.
Same with attacks and counterattacks: risk to delete counterattack and not to delete attack. That's not fair.

According to this: http://forum.war2.ru/index.php/topic,163.0.html
Acts of religious, racial, sexual intolerance should be punished (until vote balance changing).
Another question is who will handle that? I won't. Our admins should, but will they?

ah, so you were talking about yourself only, these rules still stand. Aight then, cenzoring it is.

as for:
Quote
- to rename topics if their content is useful and their names are senseless.
- to close duplicate threads.
- to split topics with several different important things to discuss each thing in the separate topic.
- to move topics between sections or to move them out to general discussion.
- to hide all the offtopic/flood/flame into [ spoiler] tag.
- to delete spam (generated by spambots).

please do that, that'll be awesome. Tk refuses to do this!

In any case, i was directing my reply to ryu.  You seem to like to jump in middle of discussions with the weirdest comments, its almost as if you support the action of creating useless topics which is what the oP wants to rid the forum off.
