okay and we've already talked about why that might be, maybe we should fix that capitalism and oppression and racism stuff instead of blaming the people suffering the consequences

have you ever been to any of these abandoned areas, wastelands full of boarded up and crumbling rowhomes, the utter desolation festering there right in the middle of these cities?

The worst neighborhoods I have been to are Newark New Jersey, New Haven Connecticut, Mount Vernon NY, and some shady neighborhoods in the bronx and brooklyn. Worst one on this list is Newark New Jersey. Where have you been?

None of which was "pure desolation." Are they bad neighborhoods that are rampant with crime yes. But as long as you mind your business and go about your way you are fine. High murder rates of African Americans in Chicago for instance happen between rival street gangs not bystanders.

Whats really terrible is that we as a society get angrier when a white man kills a black man vs a black man killing a black man. Murder is murder it has no race.

http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/aug/13/violent-crime-rises-in-big-cities-chicago-leads-in/

The fact that our government allows teenagers to drop out of school and join street gangs armed with rifles and hand guns is a shame.

they release information readily when one of their officers dies, not when they're responsible for the death of others. what does that tell you?

There is no evidence to suggest that police have killed a disproportionately higher number of African Americans as opposed to other races.(White, Hispanic, Asian, etc.)
What you are doing is speculation.

there's overwhelming evidence,  no thinking-person even disagrees with this. don't ask for sources if you aren't going to read them.

Any thinking person would realize there aren't hundreds of African Americans being killed by police officers every year.

who said hundreds? we're talking about an amount that far exceeds the number of white people who die to police.

anyway the point is when an unarmed person is killed by the police it's a tragedy.  to try to argue statistics and excuse it is wrong, innocent deaths are a problem, police brutality is a problem, it should be addressed and way too often it isnt!!  and the cops can get off with little discipline to no discipline.  but theyll charge a guy they beat up with resisting arrest

okay and we've already talked about why that might be, maybe we should fix that capitalism and oppression and racism stuff instead of blaming the people suffering the consequences

baltimore, and i havent been in that part of the city often, but i was fine too, but anyway that's not m y point.  my point is you just look around see how neglected it is, how run down it is.  do you think the public schools there are very good?  lol fat chance.  there are not many good opportunities for a lot of those people and that feeds into criminal activity.  theres black people i work with who are very bright and good people.  it's abhorrent to say black people are violent because they are black.  i know thats not true from experience, and it's offensive to the human dignity of these people.  and it's nazi race thinking that will only lead to atrocities, not solutions

anyway the point is when an unarmed person is killed by the police it's a tragedy.

Actually if you look at the title of this thread it says "the mystery of violence in baltimore."

Are you saying the police were a major contributor to the violence in Baltimore?
The argument you have constantly made in this thread is, "It's capitalism's fault."

This whole argument about socialism essentially say's,
"I am here. I am breathing. Give me money. You have an obligation to care for me."

The whole premise for capitalism  essentially says,
"I will starve if I do not give you a good or service that you want."

Inequity does not equal equality.
Equal opportunity will exist without equal outcome.
There is nothing wrong with some people being rich and some people being poor.
Some people are rich and some people are poor.
The fact is throughout humanities existence there has been some form of income inequality for whatever reason. It could be some people have a better skill set, some people work harder, or some people provide a set of services which more people want to purchase.
Bill gates has provided more services than the local corner store. More people purchase his services and he engages in more voluntary transactions.

We all have equal rights. Some people are smart some people are stupid. Some are tall and some are short.
There is a lot of inequality in life but that doesn't mean some inequity has take place.

It is not inequity that the NBA is largely black. It is not inequity that the NBA is largely tall. It is not inequity that the NBA is largely full of athletically skilled people. That is the standard for being in the NBA.
It is not inequity for people who are smarter to earn more money thru providing more services.

To say that these inequalities have to be rectified thru the great god of government makes no sense. To say that all we need is Bernie Sanders or some other politician to come down from the sky and take money from one group and give it to another group in order to rectify these inequalities is ludicrous at best.

Tell me something when does inequality actually end? In other words at what point is there enough income equality that we as a society are ok?

Claw is being a troll when he says "niggers are naturally violent."
And let's stop pretending for a min. There is a difference between black people and niggers. Nobody has a problem with black people however everyone has a problem with niggers.

did you notice, tora, that this was a thread claw made to be an extremely racist piece of shit in, to say all the worst kinds of things and throw around slurs, and you never bothered to argue with him but instead just tried to argue that cops arent racist or whatever?  whats up with that?

that chris rock routine is a comedy routine.  youre not meant to draw conclusions from it, like that some black people are just "niggers" as an individual failing and can be dismissed as such, because chris rock made some joke about it once

I haven't bothered to reply to any of claw's posts in this thread because they hold little substance and are very trollish.

Every community has weridos.
White people have rednecks, Muslims have isis, hispanics have drunk people, etc.
There are a lot of ignorant people in the black community who seem to think owing a Mercedes equates success.

You do realize a black person is 18.5x more likely to be killed by another black person than by a cop.
