He was not a "man in good standing" and it was not "without so much as a warning" and it was not a ban.  It was in fact his 20th warning.  The warning was for empty content insults and flames, which is basically all he ever posts.  The rules specifically state that repeated offenses will lead to more serious penalties, and he got a big warning for #20.  The warning level will automatically drop off by 2% everyday.
