anyone have any interest in this....i have a guy who has some skill who plays war3 ( i got him to come check out war2combat) who had some interest in making a war2 style map for war3

of course take out heros shops creeps peon limit on gold upkeep ect...

one problem i don't know if it could be overcome is the ability to have towers shoot over trees

of course take out ud and ne...and have all stats the same in cost and hp time to build ect..

classic war2 with an updated engine....thoughts?

no shit let me check it out...yes i remember that...i forget what map was used...but having a lot of the work done already should make setting up gow a lot faster and easier...right after this post i loaded up gow to edit it and check shit out...

War2 2nd Generation Exe (1.21b)- Download is 56 meg!
it appears to be a stand alone game....i thought having gow just as a map for war3 would be a draw like a poor mans dota

but it seems its all set to have ppl start making maps off their foundation of doing all the units and stats ect..

being a stand alone game....while it downloads.....does it even have multiplayer...would either .ru or w3arena be willing to host it and alow a mingle amunst games....

http://www.epicwar.com/maps/search/?n=rtcm&go=1  mine from 2008 i had more fun in the map editor than the game...fast paced war2 style ships and all oh yeah may the war2 type rts keep alive!!  human ai only cant remember but the iz7z name is latest for balancing and less bugs.

very nice war2 above, mine is more straight foreward to the gameplay and easy to make maps for.
yeah the warcraft 3 engine is powerful if anyone wanted to make a warcraft 2's 3
