If the team doctors think he's healthy, he's good enough to merit it.  It's only the rookie max, it's basically the same deal someone just decent like otto porter got, +1 year.  For a player like embiid, i think it's worth the risk.  if his leg falls off or something and he medically retires they can get it cleared... or if he's still trying to play, but is hurt, they can get insurance money.  Whatever!

Yeah there should be someone better than Blake available, you're a few picks ahead of where Blake would be best available

However, keeping Lowry probably wasn't necessary since you  easily couldve drafted him in the 1st this year I think.  And then you couldve kept, like, covington and hardaway in addition to beal and kemba
