are admins padding people's stats?
« on: September 05, 2016, 02:54:32 PM »
either admins are making fake accounts and giving themself large records on the names, people are transferring lots of stats to unknown names, or admins are just giving people free wins/losses

there are some players with like 2k games that i've never seen. they just show up and have 2k games.

someone who has played 2k games on this server is a known player.. community is too small not to notice someone who plays that many games.

I'm not. Can't speak for others, but I kind of doubt it. Stats transfers are likely. In my case I've done one large transfer that I remember for zeus to an account idk if he uses anymore, + one for yamon. Can you name any of the accounts you noticed? Remember you can see the creation date with the /finger command. If it's a noticeably large number of brand new accounts w/ 2k+ games can always check logs to find out if they're legit transfers or not.
squeak!

i've noticed it a few times  ... i'll post the names next time i see it. even if they're playing dk2 or some other fast paced custom i would think i'd at least notice the names in the lobby from time to time.

Who cares , just play them anyway

Good on them if someone transferred them 10,000 wins in 1 day.... What does it matter?

Play the game stop looking at stats

I never look at stats ( unless totally newb, then I train them)

I'm here to play the game

It's good that instead of asking "Who the hell is [name]?  I never heard of him and he has 2000 games" you just jump straight to "Are admins padding peolpe's stats?" because that's very easy to answer

No.

The claims get getting more ridiculous. For being an ex-admin, you should know that this had never ever been done or mentioned. What a far fetched and stupid claim.

desperate times may have called for desperate measures.. i see ywfn sitting idle in chop games. only reason i can think of why is to make it look like more games are hosted?
