I recently found w3arena.net and when I play there I advertise server.war2.ru....when I am on .ru I advertise w3arena.net. I found a guy named trunks on w3arena.net and he downloaded combat and logged on! and we played!

war2 guy war3 is alright for a changeup you know....w3arena.net download their client and try it out, im on as chayliss of course. they have ladder setup with a different pool than bnet, 1s and 2s...if you want big games (ie 4s) goto bnet.

I see a good 250 active with pleanty of games going.

i think you have different goals than most of us. i think most of us want to see more war2 players, not just trade/transfer players from one game to the other =/

hopefully they just come to war2 and dont go to whatever other game you're talking about  :)

That does look like a cool place to play war3 if one was inclined to do so.

war3 = the dota beta

dota = a game for 12 year olds and a few select older pure nerds

Good job i think!
People should know that war2 is still alive.
Let them select between war2 and war3. War3 is newer and better-known game in the world, i don't think out war2 players know nothing about war3. But it's good to let war3 players know about war2!
Need help to translate War2Combat to German, French, Italian, Polish or another language: http://forum.war2.ru/index.php/topic,4728.0.html
Please, contact me if you are interested in that.

Networking in wc3 communities actually makes great sense -- wc3 players in general are probably far more likely to try (or even return to) wc2 than the average Internet schmuck, and won't be totally helpless in-game.

Not long ago I spoke to a war3 vid maker who planned on creating a warcraft 2 campaign marathon for his viewers, I told him about RU if he had any interest in joining the server. He didn't know the game was still alive with a community and he said that's awesome but he didn't really want to join since he's pretty busy with other games all the time. At the time he was #1 ladder on war3 in I think team games.

His name was WtiiWarcraft if burnt or someone else wants to have a word with him in maybe shouting out the server for us in a video maybe.

That would be like going to SC2 players and trying them to get back to BW, ain't gonna happen.

You sound like a DAM Fool. Do you even activity play BW on USEast or Sc PvPGN? Most legacy SC players hate SC2 and have returned to BW within months of playing SC2. BW player count has been great for years. Actually been better since SC2 release has introduced new people to BW.
