Hi all, I know there are a million of these threads but I've been reading and working on this for days now and am not having much success. 

First, I'm computer / networking literate.   I have the latest version of war2combat.  I am able to join games created by others outside of my home network and they are able to join mine.  It's just inside my network where I'm seeing the trouble. 

I have 3 computers here that I'd like to use to have one host and the other two join.  They are all Windows 10.  I have set each installation up with a random port.  I have tried with port forwarding enabled for each of the 3 different ports in the router.  I have added exceptions to the Firewall (and even disabled them all for testing) and still get the "Latency between you and the game creator is too high" message.  I seem to get the same result whether uPNP is on or off.  Sometimes int he bottom of the Warcraft window it shows "uPNP forwarded successfully" and sometimes it says "uPNP forwarding failed."

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, tried wired and wireless.  I've tried hosting and joining from each of the different workstations.  It's always the same.  Latency too high. 

Anyone have any thoughts on what might be going on?  Are there logs I can check that might show me what's happening?  Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated, I loved this game for years and would very much like to share it with my Son now that he's old enough.

The problem can be related to your ISP, maybe your ip given by ISP is gray.
- Can anyone else join the game you hosted? If yes, then your ip is real, not gray.
- Do you get message from user note about "your port XXXX is closed"?

Otherwise looks like everything should be ok...

Check your firewall setting on that router they might be set too high. Also check the game data ports and port forward that port for each pc. Hope this helps :(

What internet you have? Plug from wall to modem then router?

Plug from wall to one box?

Thanks for the responses.  I'm still having the same trouble, Here's a little more information -

I did run through everything on the link here Re ports.  I have verified that each workstation has a different port and that each of those ports are forwarded through my firewall.  The netinfo from my workstations looks like this

Computer 1

Does the port range HAVE to be between 6111 - 6119?

I'm also a little confused as to why sometimes  I see
"War2Combat loader, antihack included, uPNP forwarded successfully"
and other times
"War2Combat loader, antihack included, uPNP forwarding failed"
without making any other changes to anything, just retrying war2loader

I hosted an open game and people were able to join it.  It seems like there's something going on in my local network, I just have no idea what else is left. 

Internet goes from Cable modem to router.  Two of the workstations are wired to the router and the third is wireless. 

I thought the host bot might be a solution but whenever I try to use it to create a game I get a message
"That user is not logged on"  I'm trying to call it using this command in the chatroom

Hm, looked into your logs:

Can you check "Game Data Port" in your registry?
Everything i found in your logs were: "Game Data Port not found, applying default".

Computer 1

Looks like ok for me. Ports you see are outgoing ports from you to server. And when you create game we need incoming ports from others to you.
We can't check ports in netstat list.

Did you get a message from user note like "your port xxxx is closed, nobody can join"? Which port did it show?

Does the port range HAVE to be between 6111 - 6119?
Port 6112 would be enough for war2.

Looked into your logs, looks like you have many different uPNP devices in your network, loader tries to change 1-st of them, not sure it's always your router, depend on the order of that devices...

Hm, that means your ip is real, so you potentially CAN host games and join to your local games from your local network...

Is cable modem work as bridge? But if some people can join you, looks like everything is ok here...

Just an idea: check your Game Data Port in the registry.
Also make a look into a message "your port XXXX is closed..." to make sure it's equal to your Game Data Port or 6112 if not exist.
Also try to create game if you get status "War2Combat loader, antihack included, uPNP forwarded successfully".

This is a very common problem and it doesn't have a solution that I know of. Here's the same issue: http://forum.war2.ru/index.php/topic,2198.0.html

- Two or more players on the same network can't join games hosted by the other, and lag out of games that they join together hosted by a third party
- Each person can host & play individually with other people on the server
- Ports forwarded correctly, using different ports for each pc, doesn't make a difference at all

Checking for Game Data Port, the note bot message, firewall, etc. seems beside the point because he already confirmed he's able to host, so all that has to be right.

The only thing I know that will for sure work is for two of the computers to use a VPN. https://www.tunnelbear.com/download is easy to use and free for the first 500 mb. I know it's hardly convenient though especially when you're talking about using it on multiple pcs. Sorry we don't have a better solution.

Let's make sure this is not a problem because of windows 10. Seems all threads using windows 10 have this issue. Maybe some firewall or something... hmmm

Try to eliminate windows 10 if you can. If it still fails I would say firewall, router, etc is the issue.
