[solved] Streaming problem
« on: March 31, 2016, 12:01:17 AM »
Hi guys. Set up my streaming yesterday and tested it but it looks like its messed up. Check out how my stream appears below. I think it might have to do with my Radeon card which is set to keep aspect ratio and uses two black horizantal bars to that effect. Any clue how to fix this?

I think you are IT so drivers I bet are done. I would try to disable and mess with some configurations. Its just the stream that zoomed in like that or your whole game?

Its the stream only. Game works perfectly. As you said, drivers are up to date but each time I update (Radeon) fucks you over by stretching war2 so you have to run the ati utility to get war2 keep its aspect ratio.

I have the feeling it might be related to these settings (http://en.war2.ru/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/obs-uscreencap-settings.png), the x, y cordinates as my war2 screen is in the middle and does not fill the whole screen. (takes the whole width but adds two black vertical bars to keep aspect ratio on a HD res screen).

I was asking just to be sure I do not tinker around and hoping that someone had a similar problem that got fixed :D

You tried setting that lower resolution to your desktop resolution in that setting? Also try to check that box to catch the full screen.

No my desktop res remains at 1920 X 1080 native res. Ticking that box might be an option if it does not switch from 640 X 480 to full HD res. Have to test it at home to see what happens.

I fixed it by reapplying the uscreencapture.reg. This is what probably fixed it and a relaunch.

That's awesome LB. Give your twitch account name to mousey so that he can replicate your stream on tv.war2.ru whenever you are online.

It's nice to see our list of streamers gradually building up! [emoji4]

I have a server PC at home that's idle 99% of the time and I run OBS on it with my main twitch account (ze_saint) to stream replays of previous Warcraft 2 tourneys as well as Warcraft 2 commentaries by Frostbitten from YouTube as a means to promote the game.  Getting quite a few followers already and hopefully more to come... [emoji846]

When I actually play, I use the 'kishormala' account to stream my live games and when I do so, I make sure the tourney replays are running in the background on my remotely controlled server PC so that I get the original Warcraft 2 music while playing!
