Music for war2, based on midi files

Download installer: ftp://ftp.war2.ru/war2/War2Music.exe , install it into war2combat folder.
It will overwrite install.exe file.

Since this installer size is 7,2 Mb, install.exe size will be 104Mb.

This program is just a test, so it will overwrite your install.exe and will not not restore it after uninstallation. You should reinstall combat if you want to remove that music.

How it works:
It gets midi music (ftp://ftp.war2.ru/war2/War2_music.rar) and converts it into wav-files, then packs into mpq-archive called install.exe.
That could take a lot of time (several minutes), but makes good quality wavs on your local computer using software midi instruments.

Problems:
- unfortunately midi archive contains only 4 soundtracks (instead of 6 integrated into war2bne), so i had to skip missed soundtracks.
- though these are the same melodies, they sounds different than wavs in original war2bne. Because musical instruments in Blizzard sound card and my software were different. So let's try this music and compare it to original music if you have one.

someone may have made a youtube video of original soundcards playback...wouldnt they sound better than card of today?

wav's are dam near mp3 to me in my headphones, downsampling+mono of course audacity(free) does a great job so does cooledit pro(not free).

im cool with midi if its the cool midi...may have to have some composers that did a better job than stock.

all i see music for is single player,its cool to have it back but i find myself turning it down to concentrate or doing what everyone else does put on a song that gets ya playing.

it just depends man,if u want combat to be a full fledge bne...or just make users download the install to make it singleplayer+music.

i would have to hear it though midi2wav that sounds better than original i would be game.

I mean... Never a retard midi composition will reach the real ochestral composition or warcraft II.

This game is 80% about the music, how the fuck i will feel my nostalgia with some retard old school cheap midi files.

The most pathetic thing about it is how tupac send another pack of war2music and il post this shit 3 days after.

That is not because he give a midi version this is actually good.

Midi version is only a cheapper way to give the real composition and the notes for musicians.

Warcraft II music is compose by glenn but it was not playing and pruduced by him.

The original records is from an orchestra and worth alot of money.
