I had just left Smeagol's icon up also, despite posting myself that it should be removed, but then after this big $200 tournament I was like, well, I guess it's past time to update this.  It seems like if there's a repeating tournament or frequent tournaments, the icon should rotate, and that if it's going to be a lasting icon it should be a one-of-a-kind yearly event. 

I mean, that makes sense, right?  But I'm not just gonna go write a "rule" at this point yet... I'm wondering first if there's a consensus that this makes sense and also if anyone ever promised Smeagol that every winner would get this icon for good or if that was just something he came up with himself.

just stick with ur gut blid. theres no reason to give out 5 icons to the only 5 people who play the map. it should be treated like the master icon

Winners get a prize money, Iike I said before that is really the ultimate prize. Icons should be rotated around, doesn't make sense for 10 people having the same pball champ icon and that goes for any tournament.

Correct, there are like only 10 people in total who actually play and show up for the tournaments.

What I remember from the previous thread was that he wanted to make a new pball icon after giving out the current icon to a few winners. But I still think that makes no sense has eventually majority of the players who still play the game will have icons. I don't know why he is tripping balls over this, this move is protecting the value of his own tournament icon.

I do understand the logic behind not giving out lots of icons.

I guess smeagols argument is that his tournaments are different from mine, thus the prizes are different as well.
Also there are users with Master icons besides braviet, like Jesk, RaT, and Tyrus.

With that being said I do believe he said that December would be his last Pball tourney for awhile.
So I don't think it would be that big a deal just to give it back to him, since he did organize all these pball tournaments in the first place.

The winners received a cash prize, that should be enough. Icons should only be given to the current active winner. Makes only sense...

There could be other Master icons for another reason or other, or it's possible some of these were removed and the removal didn't stick.  We can fix this up or figure out how some of these people got it if they are supposed to have it.

Blid is king he will do what he wants. It doesn't matter it was advertised to people as such or that I just proved Mouse went along with it. He will do what he wants regardless of how the winners of the tournaments feel. It makes no sense whatsoever to take them away from people who were told they stayed forever especially without notifying me, but he's on a power trip whether he wants to admit it or not.

Yeah Il always says how he wants this server run as a pure democracy. Yet Blid reigns supreme. Why don't we take a poll of all the PBall Players since it's their community and see if they think we should keep the icons. These players played hard to win those icons and a few it was their only prize. Blid will do as he wants though, democracy sumocracy.
