If you click the War2noCDloader option instead of the War2PLoader to connect you will have no anti-hack.
Yes, there are 3 different ways to start war2 in combat:
- nocd loader - just the original game with no patches (no warlatency, etc)
- war2ppatcher (aka activated war2 - bat file) - previous (3.01-3.15) main way to start war2
- wap2ploader - new way to start war2. Includes warlat and other patches, includes uPNP, includes antihack. That is recommended way to start. I'll make an option to disable uPNP and other options later, i'll add some more things there (like war2observe and showgame probably) and make them optional. At least i have such plans.
You can also use War2PLoader for any other version of war2, just copy it to full (or any other) version and run when you want to start war2. I didn't check it with 2.0.2.1 carefully, but should work also.
but wouldnt more players make it easier to ensure that? c'mon... bigger data = easier and faster to find bugs. Im not asking to ban people, but to force update as it WILL be necessary sooner or later and it will speed up the entire process.
Sure, i hope some people will begin to use loader, then i'll implement something like notification via whisper message (your client is untrusted, please start antihack) and then i'll make notifications for those who don't use antihack. To let others know that they play with potential hackers.
And last possible step is to deny playing/chating without antihack.
That is how i see that.
