Hi, how about:

double-elimination tournament (winner bracket n loser bracket)

players in winner bracket play for example: old ef
players in loser bracket play: chop chop

FINALS: something in between, so maybe 3v3 arena? or some weird bne FASTEST map?

I can do a elimination round between the 2 loser of semi final on the same map as the final round.

So it will give us an official third place.

this is double elimination - losers from the top bracket fall down to bottom bracket.

finals = winner from the top bracket vs winner from the bottom bracket, player from top bracket starts with 1:0 score

I have to follow how challonge work, i can do what i just told you, both loser of semi final fight for the third place.

1. Winner of Final
2. Loser of final
3. Winner of the 2 loser in semi final.

Kind of unique idea.  So the winners get to play the pure GOW ef fun, but the losers have to toil in some sort of customs hell to get back into the main tourney.  Obviously Claw is proposing this tourney format so he can backdoor his way into the finals.

Yeah, and the finals is some kind of middle ground.
3v3arena is a known custom with BNE elements, the gow players are actually better at it than the custom players. It also kinda applies to archers as well, but Mirror TE woulda been an equally good option. It's all details, I think it's a unique idea and putting it out there. Maybe some1 will go for it one day!

its good idea, but remove chop and custom maps out of the equation.
most people that play gow don't play chop and don't want to play chop.... or arena.


its a good idea because of playstyles.  you're often good vs someone but not that good vs another,

like for
example: player A might defeat player B with ease, and player C might usually defeat A, but player C might have a a hard time defeating player B.
this happens quite often
so someone having a 2nd chance sounds just.

just stick to official maps, or have a custom map tourney by its own.
feels unjust to have your skills and your hard earned #1  measured by playing a nonofficial map

well then bnef and old ef... but when what should be in the finals? What's the middleground then? bo7 f/ef/f/ef/f/ef/f? (because the ef player starts with 1:0 score)

Another UWC suggestion (but its for the future if we have complete teams with 3 players each)

imagine this:

three 8 players tournaments - CHOP, BNEF and OLD EF
8 teams are participating, each team consists for chop, bnef and old ef player

all of them are played normally with the exception for finals - finals are not being played, instead 2 players from the final 'advance'.
And what does that mean? all the players that advanced will play a team FFA HSC EF (2 + 2 + 2 = 6 players)

if different people from diff teams win, it will be a regular FFA, but if for example one team dominates and has 3 players in the finals, it will be 3v1v1v1

Yes im planning to do special event later too... Dont think its gonna be on HSC since the league is really focus on old, btnet f and chop but yes it's possible to make special matchs for the event... Like a threeway FFA for the title or alot of different things.
