Unable to run HD Patch

Hey guys

Since yesterday, I have not been able to run Warcraft 2 in HD mode.  Every time I run the file "Warcraft_II_HD.exe" which is in my "War2Combat" folder, the screen goes black, then the desktop reappears momentarily on a lower resolution (i.e. desktop icons appear bigger), then the screen goes black again and then I'm back to the desktop screen as you were.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Warcraft 2 v4.6 (full version) and copied the HD Patch to the War2Combat folder but the HD Patch still does not work.  I am only able to run War2Combat in regular mode at the moment.

Any idea what could be causing this?

try reload graphics card?
i had smilar problems
i have 2 graphics cards so i disabled 1 then launched on other and then enabled other one again and all was ok

I disabled my PCI graphics card and tried running the HD Patch on the internal graphics card but it still didn't work.  After that, I re enabled the PCI card and tried running HD on that one, again without success.

All my drivers are up to date, so I really can't figure out what's wrong.

Re installed windows and it worked!
