The forums are screwed up and sometimes doesn't quote properly, I have reported this a million times but nobody cares apprently. Lahey is from the show trailer park boys, one of the best shows ever.

I've never seen the show but they made a movie once and it was on netflix or w/e so i watched it and it was pretty unfunny.

I saw a few episodes of the show and they were kind of funny, but it was literally like ten years ago, and I have no real desire to watch any more, so they couldn't have been that funny. I had also maybe just started smoking weed at the time.

 probably not the best way to get introduced to the show. clattenburg was trying to introduce the show to people who've never seen it in the first movie but they had already been through 6 or 7 seasons at that point and the show was on the decline. it's definitely funnier and more enjoyable when you've been watching the show for a long time and already have an understanding of the character's personalities.
i've been watching this show since their beginning (over a decade). i watched their pilot episode in '99..

i remember thinking it was a real documentary.

anyways  i started watching in '99 , it's now 2015 and season 9 hits netflix next month .. cheers boys
