maybe it's just been a long time, but does warvid not record war2 sounds?

not sure why there is no system audio in the warvid

Yep warvid doesn't record sound. You need to record that separately or use hyper cam itself to record the game if you want sound. Was a good tournament, lots of good competition. Thanks for recording this TK and I haven't watched them but I have the utmost certainty they are very competent =D. Congrats to Joe and Logan on the finals and Congratulations to Braviet and Tony on the victory and cash! =D

There's a thread on how to record War 2 with hyper cam I think in the Strategy and Replays section. It's a sticky thread or whatever the ones at the top of the page. I think it's by Claw, I haven't ever personally recorded games with hypercam but yeah it can be done. Find that thread if you want to find out how.

to be fair, watching a video from a watchers perspective sucks imo. you're forced watch what they're watching and just hope they bring their viewfinder to what you want to see.

i think its much more enjoyable if the players all record and then upload and then you can see the game through their eyes...

in game 1 it would have been nice to watch through all of their eyes early game... joe/tony had a nice war going on s9/9 that was interesting and game 2 it would have been nice to watch through braviets eyes... basically watch through the eyes of whichever player is in the most action.

just watched the replays and it's really jerky

im thinking if i ever record like this again i'll use the mouse almost exclusively navigating mini map (other than clicking things like hall/altar/smith/goldmines etc..) and use keyscroll to pan up/down/side/side

pretty sure that would make for a more smooth view

I always record all my games in the PBall tournament and QUICK{hR} does often. We also record all the games we watch and four 1v1s happen at once so that's a good thing about the PBall tournaments I usually have plenty of footage. Seeing the game through the players eyes is usually better in any Warcraft 2 map TK is right, an overall view can give deeper perspective into the game though. I prefer watching through a players personal warvid, but an overall perspective is nice too, also having both is optimal.

yeah i thought about the commentary but i wanted to get them uploaded as fast as possible. i can re do them with commentary. i threw on some of my own music when i was watching them just because i knew it would suck to watch without even the game sounds.

Last time I tried to put music on a video YouTube recognized it as copywrigjted material and deleted video.. or maybe it was Facebook idk

There's some music Youtube will delete. Years ago it was much more strict, with spotify and all kinds of streaming services now the majority of bands will allow you to use their music with these little pop up ads at the start or randomly. You don't get commercial ads, but it's better than no music. I've only had 2 or 3 songs blocked on my videos out of 50+.
