Fair play. Admitting your mistakes. Moving on to a new present.
« on: November 23, 2024, 04:33:05 AM »
Here I would like to see a response from players who are not afraid to admit that they once made a mistake and played unfairly. I also want to see players who are honestly ready to answer that they have never made any of the mistakes.
For simplicity, I recommend using the following expressions
"I made a mistake."
and
"True."
True means that you have never made such situations during the entire time
Made a mistake means that you admit your mistake.

For those who are very interested in revealing the essence of everything, as I once did, you can either briefly highlight a point or points, or describe the situation of a particular case in detail. This cleanses a person from within, and makes him not repeat something like this.

"
In order to restore the competitive spirit, the game must be fair.
Fair play is
1. No use of third-party programs;
2. No stream-sniping;
3. No clues and hints from observers;
3.1 This often concerns people in good relations who want their friend to win against a person;
4. No account sharing between players;
5. Intentionally losing a match, of one's own free will, in order to increase one's opponent's rating.

"

I'll start with myself. I violated each of these points. I didn't abuse them to any extent, I always respected fair play, but some situations provoked me to act disrespectfully towards other players. I realized my mistake only after I stopped enjoying winning. After all, I understood that even when I don't use any of these, I already earned a bad reputation in front of myself. To be honest, lying to yourself is no better than lying to someone else. Stop lying to yourself and others.

After some time, I decided to talk about it. I haven't touched these points for a long time, but the unpleasant feeling from what I did has always remained with me.

A thought provoking post you know? Looking at this server and forums it seems people used to hack warcraft 2 which has to be the most dumb and pathetic hacking I ever seen like imagine hacking a 30 year old game (29 year old really) like of all games you choose the most niche of games to hack just to climb up a ladder? I never really cheated in any online game I played like once did a stream snipe in red alert 3 , once abused the ability to go third person in half life to play it in 3rd person in online allowing me to see through walls and such not very cheating because you can't aim as well but still gives you an edge over the enemy and a unfair one.

I could never ever stand hackers the fun of playing online is the process of learning by competing against other humans and developing ways to defeat those people who stomp you , worst hacking a very old game which is negative because ant returning player or new player would be put off by this hackers , well I hope the hacker thing got resolved.

Today warcraft is not the warcraft it used to be , lets stick to what made warcraft warcraft! ORCS AND HUMANS

WTF is stream sniping?  Never even heard of such non-sense.  This isnt a 3D Shooter :D  Should probably ask mage,  they might know I bet.
Dk At hall is cause I started with temple at start and didn't need the castle . Not a hack .  I wouldn't bother editing a ss btw

^---- Dellam doesnt hack!  See, even by his own admission, no hack!!  LMFAO.

Its when you play against somebody streaming the game and you watch them at the same time , what I did was watch the guy stream or keep it open on my phone and then play with him , well too bad I lost the game cuz I went super crazy with expansions.

Yeah , the warcraft community seems to consist of some 30-40 year old people and sometimes people in their 20s.

Now I don't know if it counts as cheating but in warcraft 3 I use a 3rd party program that adds mana bars in the game (on 1.26) thus I can see mana same way HP is always shown I assume majority of game ranger users have it too , yes it gives an advantage like if I want to mana burn some enemy I decide whether or not its worth it by his mana bar instead of clicking on him to see how much mana he has or to know if my casters have enough mana to pull off something crazy.

I also used to troll people once ruined a game after we waited 2 hours for players , happened to get blocked by one famous map host calling me "a western spy" for ruining his games.
