I got linux on laptop

And thats how you make people hate linux for no reason.
On linux to run old windows executables you will need to install Wine.

Mint is derivated from ubuntu therefore you should be able to do these steps :-)

I think you should be able to run WC2 in a VirtualBox VM on linux mint without too much trouble.

There should be pleanty of intrustions on the mint site for installing virtualbox.. it may even be standard, I cant remember. Then you will need any old windows installation disks ( I like XP .... but whatever ) and install that on your VM. Then install WC2 as per usual.

Also, depending on the brand and model, your laptop may have a hidden rescue partition with the original install files that you can access at boot time with a key combination (like ALT-F6 or something). Check the docs etc. for your laptop model.

they got sc1 working, so id say war2 would 2 and a bunch of other directx games...take time to learn how to set it up..its probably better than windows.

reactos war2 is playable now
