I've been playing nearly nonstop the last 2 weeks

I'm not saying this to stir shit up or be negative.. I'm just telling it how it is.

The game is currently as dead as it can possibly be without actually being dead. There are like 20 how EF players, 10 chop players, and a small hand full of randoms.

Its a noticeable decline in just the last 5-6 months..  and this time of year is typically more busy.

 Just speculating, but I honestly don't  think there will be a community to rebuild in another 10-11 months.

I'd say this is probably the last year we will have had the opportunity to hop on and get a game in a reasonable amount of time.

Sad, but I'd say this is about the end of the line for war2. Better enjoy the activeness this winter Cus come summer time its gonna get ugly

I really won't disagree that much.

It is pretty dead, the only time its really possible to get some consistent games is on the weekends.
I suppose we will just have to wait and see what happens in the summer.

I've been playing for the last 6 months and getting consistent games the entire time.

Is the player base low? Yeah, sure.  But it's not hard to find a GOW game.  There's typically a game going 24/7.

i didnt say i couldnt get consistent games. yes, as of right now there is nearly always at least 1 gow game either being played or being hosted.

my point is that there is sometimes only 1 and very rarely 2 (at least not including a 1v1 being hosted/played)

im not saying the game has died right now.

im saying the very next step is dead.

right now we are tip toeing the line between saying "OK there is a game going, i guess i can wait 10-15 mins for it to get out" .. and hopefully still be in chat so you can catch the game before it's rehosted/started again.... and "ok there are no current games going or being hosted, should i wait another 15-20 minutes to see if anyone else logs on who wants to play?"

and the two of those are a huge difference.

that shit got old real fast

there are only like 4 people who intentionally look for 1v1's  .. brav, yamon, spb, and med.

Well, it's a generation of young people who played a game moving on with their lives, and younger generations that have their own games to keep them occupied. Is the kickstarter thing still a go? Even if you only raised enough money to fix the display glitches in Win8 & 10 and do some advertising I bet you'd have good results. Burton's got an email list somewhere doesn't he? Could try drawing some old players back in simultaneously, and who knows.

No. When I was thinking new server I was under the impression the community was at least 2x as big as it is.. this game is literally in its last leg. Its a completely diff picture than what I initially thought

well games die but at its current rate ..it will just turn back into what it was in 06 just 10 people max and showing up to game .it is way more active than it was then.
