While the geopolitics issue is a better "excuse" than nazis, it's still just an excuse. How do we know this? Because there was and still is a 0% chance that Ukraine would EVER be allowed to enter Nato. LOTS of countries want to join Nato, but most dont meet the requirements, those that do meet the requirements willfully choose to remain neutral (Austria, Cyprus, Finland, Ireland, Malta, Sweden and a shit ton of others). I wouldnt be surprised to see some of these countries join Nato in the very near future given Russia's recent unprovoked actions. For example, why doesnt Russia itself join Nato? Because it cant, it doesnt meet any of the 3 requirements. Ukraine is FAR from meeting such requirements. I still believe that the true reason is nothing more than Putin's own ego. He wants to recreate the former USSR geographically. Period. It really is that simple.
I will mention that should things change in Russia, there is a possibility it could join Nato itself if it ever decides to adhere to the 3 requirements. That is an opportunity that every country on the planet has if they choose to do so and are successful in meeting the requirements.

Holy shit there is a blast from the past. We used to have some good games man it's good to see you're still around. I log in once every few years to relive some old memories. There are still a few players from back in the day around. Community seems pretty split these days. Half seem to be people who have spent the last 20 years playing 8-12 hours a day. As you can imagine anyone who can devote that much time to a game for so long has some underlying health issues, so the community tends to be pretty toxic. Other half seems to be somewhat normal people who log in here and there as time permits. These people still tend to talk a lot of shit but don't seem to be as fucked up in the head. So it's scary because the person who will be held accountable (Biden)... Is also a person who is clearly declining in both physical, and more obviously mental health.

He would do everything in his power to avoid military conflict) Biden is a career politician that understood a long time ago he belongs to specific corporations and will serve their interests.. and when it's all over with, Biden's dementia will be so severe that everyone will feel sorry for him and not hold him accountable.
By the time the American people realize a war with Russia was such a horrible senseless act that could have been avoided, the "behind the scenes" elites who actually made the decision to invade Russia will never have to face consequences because they're behind the scenes... And the person (Biden) that the public believes made the decision to invade Russia will be in such a horrible state of mental decline that it will be impossible to charge him.

The only way to avoid the conflict all together is if Putin backs off Ukraine... But the more I think about it, the more I think Putin might just be "testing the waters" to see how the U.S. responds to potential threats from Russia... Do they respond from a position of strength, or potential weakness.

But that report could have easily been created/fabricated/manufactured to convince Trump and the Public that more military spending was a good thing... or even an attempt to convince/trick China/Russia into attacking from a weak position, believing it were stronger.
No matter what.. A war where the U.S., China, and Russia is inevitable eventually. China will pass U.S. as a global super power if there is no intervention. The most common form of intervention throughout human history is war. Empires do not give up their superiority without a fight. And China/Russia are better friends than U.S./China or U.S./Russia.
