Hello,
I'm trying to revive this good old warcraft 2 with this great warcraft 2 combat which already allowed me to filter textures with xbrz freescale.
(I use the boxed BNE version).
I only play solo with the main campaigns.
I manage to switch the resolution to the native resolution of my screen (wqhd).
But I come to you for two problems that I cannot solve.
When I move the mouse cursor to view the map (not the mini map but the game map), the animation is a bit jerky (it's not smooth) and it's very unpleasant in games.
I have the impression that in windowed mode the problem partially disappears.
The second concern concerns the possibility of zooming as in any recent rts.
Warcraft 2 was probably not designed to be able to zoom, but suddenly the camera is very close to the terrain, which is quite inconvenient.
These two elements spoil the gameplay a bit and I saw on the main screen of the warcraft 2 combat site a screenshot in aerial view where the units appear from a distance and suddenly much finer too ..: p
How did you manage to achieve this result? (the image is very sharp)
I searched for patches and on the site but I can't find it.
Do you have to modify the ini file. or the ddraw file to allow zoom?
Unless the solution is to download a patch of maps of the main campaigns?
Thanks a lot for your help.
