Well shit. I apologize for necro'ing such an old post, guys. I just recently stumbled upon this thread by accident and found Mike's story to be a nifty little trip down memory lane and figured, perhaps, a few others would find it enjoyable as well. Arch certainly did a great job, but there's definitely a lot more to the story. Maybe one of these days I'll sit down and add my own recollections for a more comprehensive dive into the multiplayer history of what we all consider to be the best RTS game ever developed. Anyhow, I hope everybody is doing well. Y'all keep having fun, and enjoy your holiday season!

Not gonna bother with this list, but I must admit... it's worrisome to see what Burnt is currently going through. I hope he pulls through this and we get the old Burnt back. Dude is a War2Combat pioneer, and regardless of what anybody thinks of him, he deserves a ton of respect for everything he has done for the community throughout the years. Poor fella.

Cool to see Shotgun streaming. I'd imagine having some of the top 5 players streaming will certainly help the community. Kinda curious, though. If Shotgun and Ares played 100 games, who'd come out on top?

Sadly, I have to agree with most other posters. I was really hoping the GOG re-release would reignite interest in the game and bring a lot of people back but, unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case at all.

Support Requests / Buddy Keeps Getting Dropped. Please Help!

Hey guys,

I'm trying to play some games with my buddy, but whenever we try to play, he gets dropped from the game after a few seconds. Does anybody know how we can solve this issue?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks guys!

I didn't realize people still used Kali. Do people still use it for War2? Or is it mainly used for other games now? I wonder if they would send me my original serial key if I emailed support and asked, because I'm pretty sure anything I had it written down on is long gone by now.

Unfortunately I don't meet the 100 game requirement yet, as I've just returned to War2 after a very long hiatus. However, I'd be willing to play in the tournament if you guys are short on players. If you need me, just let me know. Sadly, I'm quite rusty so I wouldn't be much of a threat at all. That being said, I hope y'all have loads of fun, and good luck to everybody!

P.S. Very cool map! Whoever made that did a great job.  :fro:
