In a game chat, WarBandit admitted to previous hacking and being on "probation" by admins. But, he wasn't using the anti-hack version of the game. His reason? He said he's "too lazy" to install it. Download, run exe, click "next" a couple of times. We're talking about 5 mins of his time. If admitted hackers aren't required by the admins to play using the anti-hack version, why have it at all?

I think the anti-hack version should be 1) required by anyone who's been caught cheating and has been warned, 2) phased in over a period of time, 3) required for any tournament play 4) have a set deadline, say Jan 1, 2016 that ALL players will be required to use it.

Sry, I must of had my VPN on when I pinged server.
When VPN is off, I cannot ping server.war2.ru. It says "unreachable".
When VPN is ON, I CAN ping server.war2.ru.

Tupac, I'll just let you remote in. How do we do that?

Through regular ISP (no VPN): Ping server.war2.ru starting successfully pings server with 5.45...

iL, I IM'd you my IP. I'll contact my ISP for the DNS renew. Just to confirm, everything was working correctly b4 server put back online last week. I have a NetGear WNDR4300 router. I had my ports forwarded per the hosting instructions. Always launched game using War2PLoader.exe. As of today, launching game with non-loader .exe's have same issue of not connecting to main war2.ru server.

Yes. I've done flushdns, as well as a whole host of further ipconfig commands (release, renew)  when that didn't work. I've restarted pc few times too.

Just noticed this in my browser too: If I'm at war2.ru/modules/news/ and click English Version to get to server.war2.ru/, it's a similar issue. I have to have my VPN active in order to connect to server.war2.ru in browser.

Yes, before server was just put back online, I was playing this just fine for months without issues (and had ports forwarded to host games).

I was getting Abort, Retry, Ignore small grey window B4 they game opened. Right now, I'm getting into game, but when attempting to join war2.ru server connection I get the big red box "Unable to connect to Battle.net".

Yes, I have to use a VPN. Once I fire up VPN, and launch War2PLoader.exe, I get right into war2.ru main server.

I still can't join the main war2.ru server.
Previously to the server being offline, and coming back, I was able to host games and had ports forwarded in my router just fine.

Using: war2combat

I've done ipconfig /younamecommand, restarted my router, restarted pc, etc.

Thing is, i can connect to moustopher, mousetopher backup, and war2.ru backup servers just fine.
If I start Private Internet Access for a VPN, then I can connect to main war2.ru server and join games, but can't host.

Someone told me I can't connect using the Loader...

Any further instructions or suggestions?
