Any theories on what would cause UNDEFINED or 02 or other strange results?

You can't tell anything about that memory cuz you don't know where exactly in memory iL digs. after all it could be free memory which can take any random data.

How is the security?? Any recent history with them?? DDOS protection? ?

I once bought there a dedicated server for the web site Internet shop with a large number of users. There were no problems.
The point is that you take a dedicated server with more resources, a high bandwidth, in a large datacenter. And as far as DDOS protection is concerned,  I think iL can easily realize it by software. IMHO!

Looks great for me!
I'd say even starter for $13 would be fine for us.
