Instead of trying all the funky ladders, why is it mods cant get the built in ladders working? Ironman was so much fun (Random maps), yes youd need to try and fix the fixed order thing.

there is random maps in that duda ladder, you got 8? random pick maps

It is random maps sg, you can’t pick a map. I posted the details of minimap, starting resources etc just as an information. You just host a random.pud from the folder, no need any setup

Btw this ladder was from the old Ironman ladder (random maps). The only difference is the rank system. Not sure what the changes you would like to see

Because i remember iron ladder was there 20 years ago and mostly no one was playing it, because it was just bad, we had no control over this ladder and every season was the same season.
The random ladder mistral made is basicly an iron ladder, but at least we got control over it and we can bring new content to it.
What we can do with this ladder is way much more valuable then the iron ladder if we do the things properly.
But i must agree with shotgun on one thing, the fact that the ladder is already integrate into the game is way much better than having to goes on a third tier website.

I did comment that to have the website ladder showing in the in-game records. Not sure if possible and its secondary for the moment.
Let’s try to focus improving the primary things first like Good maps? Ranking working ? Games listing / updating in the website ? No crashes?
All the above should be easy to have working 100%.

I think your totally right, i do not cares about iron man ladder at all, for my part, i prefere we just focus on mistral ladder.
But i got one question.
Can we not use the ladder ranking inside the game itself instead of using a third tier party website??
Like we play the mistral ladder but the games goes directly into the integrate ladder into the game client server.

The built in ladders actually do function, it's just that they arent enabled anymore. The problem with the built in ladder is that it's strictly a Glicko style system (same thing as proposed new MMR ladder). All Glicko style ladders are easily abused by those with enough time to do the grinding on noobs and never play a single decent player. This is why rung style ladders are always superior. Making the built in ladder rung style is quite easy but current team has never attempted it (no idea why, it's not exactly rocket science lol, but it is c++ rather than PHP, that could be the limiting factor, although that's fixed also by using APIs where the API is PHP based). All of the servers I hosted decades ago, the built in pvpgn ladders were rung style.
