The problem is related with combat false-positive antivirus detections. That's why we loose lots newcomers who don't want to download and start something being marked as virus.
My idea is to try to update version of installer. Unfortunately it doesn't support WinXP.
What do you think about new war2 combat versions not supporting windows XP? Should we follow that way?
Or XP is still sufficient part?

XP such an old OS.
I pray nobody is still on it….

even If someone is playing with XP, its his problem, game is working with all new modern windows, windows stopped support 7, you want support XP

Absolutely incorrect question and lack of logic.
There is NO evidence that the problem is in the installer itself
In fact, the problem is that a lot of fake antiviruses, which label everything they do not like the Black Tag
and MANY files in game folder can wrongfully be marked as unsafe
The problem is, currently:
War2PLoader.exe
Detection ratio: 3/72
War2Ppatcher.exe
Detection ratio: 3/71
/ok
patchers/ploader can be fixed by Edo
INSTALL.EXE
Detection ratio: 5/72
/??? use old version (0 false positives, but some bugs) or turn to install.mpq (will help or not?)
War2BNEInSight105RC2.exe
Detection ratio: 2/72
WarVideo.EXE (new, no flicker)
Detection ratio: 2/71
/NOT ok? probably separate download for replay programs
but separate downloads for every little stuff, until we have real configurator, is very uncomfortable and against overall concept
Warcraft II Config.exe
Detection ratio: 4/72
/NOT ok, newby users may need it
By the way, last one is a good example is that the "new" software does not solve the problem of stupid antiviruses
PS: What about nix users, with XP VM?

Available, of course, installer is not the only problem, need to resolve the whole problem.
Just want to know how many players still use winXP. The best win for a big period of time.

Lol. I don’t think you should worry about XP. The bigger problem is it’s not easy to download the game from the site at all. I had to reinstall a few months back and it was a pain in the ass trying to go through the FTP site and picking from 900,832 versions.
